Ernestinum: Spenden für die Ukraine durch Süßigkeiten-Verkauf

CELLE. In der Klasse 8 GF (Sprachprofilklasse mit Griechisch und Französisch als 3. Fremdsprache) sind bereits drei neue Schüler aus aus der Ukraine aufgenommen worden, am Ernestinum insgesamt derzeit neun. Aus diesem Anlass hat sich die Klasse 8 GF eine neue Solidaritätsaktion zum Geld-Sammeln überlegt, nachdem das Ernestinum bereits eine Sachspenden-Sammlung durchgeführt hat und auch noch fortsetzt.

Die durch Süßigkeiten-Verkauf finanzierte Spendenaktion für die Ukraine hat die Klasse ebenso auf Englisch verfasst, um sie im Jahrbuch abzudrucken. „Manchmal fallen in der Schule Praxis und Theorie so zufällig zusammen, denn „Report writing“ im Englischunterricht war in der Woche Thema der Klassenarbeit“, erläuterte Englisch- und Klassenlehrerin Svenja Becker (rechts auf dem Foto), die die Aktion und das Bericht-Schreiben unmittelbar vor Osterferien-Beginn betreut hat.

„Candy fundraising for the Ukraine: How we as a class raised money to show solidarity – A report written by 8GF

At the end of March 2022, we, the 8GF of the Ernestinum, organized a candy fundraising event for the Ukraine by selling lots of candies in front of the Atrium.

We first had the idea for our project on March, 23^rd. One of our classmates, Franziska, told us that another school had done a similar project. So we talked to our teacher Ms Becker and decided to plan the sale. We only had a few days to organize our project because we wanted to sell the sweets before the Easter break.

Over the weekend some of us collected sweets from our families and neighbors. On Monday we had about 40kg of gummy bears in total. On the same day, we packed all the sweets into 600 small paper bags.

We promoted our candy fundraising in various ways. At first, we wrote an email and sent it to our whole school community. Then we made an announcement at the headmaster’s office to everybody in school. Some students also designed flyers and hung them up on the walls. Besides, information about the event was shared on Snapchat.

The sale started during the first break on March, 29^th . We offered the sweets during the breaks on Tuesday as well as on Wednesday. The bags were sold each for 1,50 € each. A lot of students and also some teachers came to buy them. In addition to the bags, there was a box for donations. In the end we earned more than 460 € in total on Tuesday and Wednesday.

With this event, we wanted to show solidarity with the Ukraine and help them at the same time. We are very proud that we raised so much money and now we’re going to donate it to “Aktionsbündnis Deutschland’’. The Ernestinum is against war and stands with the Ukraine!”
